Is the asking price reasonable?

Buy It Now price of $19950 on eBay. Tough call, but looks like it needs a fair amount of reassembly and parts sourcing. Might be worth it if the body panels and chassis aren't rusted out in all of the hidden areas. 429 short block only, so someone would need to source the top end for a SCJ. No trans either, and it came with a C6 so that's the least of someone worries. For a better deal than the BIN price, hopefully someone will see fit to pick this one up and bolt everything back together. It's a fairly historic car due to the drivetrain, and the value would support sinking some money into it. A bit of a sleeper, offered one year in "our" body style, and then boom it's gone forever.

The C-6 trans on this car are unique, including cast iron tail shaft, RServo, etc. It was  also #’s matched to the car, so that is a loss... There are a lot of unique external engine parts to be sourced... Many hard to find today and pricey. Agree if the body is solid the price is fair. I paid a lot more for my J Code Vert, but was an AZ car, original engine trans and rear in place. It needed a complete rotisserie restoration...

Plus, the supposed original short block looks like it was used for a boat anchor. If it were useable or repairable I would have thought someone else would have already used a good 4-bolt block, even if it needed sleeves, not that many of them around.
