1971 Grandé
1971 Grandé purchased 2003 from original owner with 100.000 miles. The car was original with A/C PS,PB,power windows, Decor group,FMX and AM radio. It still had the oringal single exhaust. I had forgotten how small that single pipe was (1 3/4). The interior is/was bit worn and the paint old but it started right up and was daily driver for the next 2.5 years.
Then time for some updates, Replaced: front springs(620) rear springs (4 leaf) upper and lower A arms, shocks front and rear and all rubber bushings and plugs I could find.
Removed: A/c (didn't work and I don't need it) center console and clock(damaged) AM radio (I listen to the motor)
Added: an Autometer three gauge panel where the radio was.
Engine:
.30 over
forged flattop pistons
New rings, bearings and windage tray, oil pump, weiand water pump,Electric fan
2V heads unported with new stainless Steel valves new springs retainers, rocker arms
Hookers
Eldebrock air gap intake 750 VS Holley MSD "ready to run" distrubutor no box
Cam Lunati 218/218 @ .523 lift

If it is so, then is not the car, is the driver my friend Wink

You have a great mustang, hope you enjoy it! Smile

Looks very good, I love it Smile And great updates ! How much HP/tq do you get with that setup ? I'm curious because it kind of looks like what I want to do with my own 72 Grandé Smile

Very nice car.

Jeff T.

Low buck, touring style, '73 Convertible "rolling restoration", 351c, 2v heads with a shave and a haircut, Performer intake, Holley 650(ish), roller rockers, screw in studs, guideplates, stainless valves, Duraspark / Motorsports MSD, T-5 conversion. 1-1/8" front, 3/4" rear swaybars KYB shocks and some home brewed subframe connectors. Future plans; JGC steering box, Cobra brakes and... paint, interior, etc.

When I die I want to die like grandpa, peacefully in my sleep... not screaming, like his passenger.
