1970 Chevelle SS-396
#1
Hello,
I am usually on here trying to find someone to go look at a Mustang but this time it is a Chevy. Yes it is for someone else I am not a Chevy guy but seem to have pretty good luck finding cars people seek. I have located a 70 Chevelle SS-396, they were actually all 402 but that did not sound good so Chevy left it 396 and didn't tell, lol. I talk to the owner tonight and will be going over pictures. If everything seems ok from the discussion and pictures I would need someone to go by and do a hands on review of the car to make sure it is what they say it is. I need someone in the L.A. California area that knows Chevys that can go by and do a ground up check of the chassis, engine, trans, rear and everything on the car. Not looking for free you would be compensated for you time and efforts. Just don't want to fly from east coast to just look at a rusty Chevy. It is a basket case project started years ago and died. Still rolling with heads and intake pulled.
Thanks for your help if you know of anyone that does this service let me know by PM.
Thanks,
David

Yea GM cars are like 32 Fords there are more now than when they made them. I have seen SS RS 69 Camaros made using a windshield frame cowl with serial number and the remainder of the car pieced together and it get title for SS RS. GM did not do a very good job documenting their vehicles with tags or paper.
This car is pretty much an original so not restored been sitting gathering dust in corner for 32 years. Not going to be a high end car but has orig. engine but no build sheet. I just need someone that knows them to go and make sure it is as stated. Even a clone is ok the client does not think numbers matching makes it more valuable in their eyes.
