i just fot an oem spoiler.....should there be markings from ford? how do i tell that is is not a repro??
By the weight. The aftermarket ones aren't nearly as heavy as an OEM. In fact about half.

Not sure of the exact weight but if it's an OEM rear spoiler it's darn heavy, in fact heavier than it looks. So the best answer I can give is "darn heavy"Big Grin

M code 71 Mach 1, 351 4V Cleveland, Ram Air (not factory), C6 Trans, 3.5 rear
I have seen some that are very heavy with tool marking from FORD, and some that were the same weight that did not. I know you can buy plastic, fiberglass and of course carbon fiber. I have seen some of the aftermarket ones that hold up pretty good, but again these days you never know where parts are being made, good old outsourcing

I just read that the tolled one should weight about or close to 8 lbs
