page count for "what did you do.."

Frequently click on the last thread count to see new news, today page 140, and I get an error. Page 139 reached the limit and there is no thread to follow.
If that makes sense.

Try it again, it looks like my post was in work maybe, looks like the same time as your post here.

Works for me too. Maybe try increasing the number of posts displayed per page. I maxed it out and only show 28 pages for the same thread.

I've noticed that on some other threads too; the page count is higher than the actual last page, but it eventully catches up to the right number.

It's a problem that I bought up in this thread back in March:

The workaround is to press on the link marked "last post" (right hand side) and it'll take you where you want to go.

Yeah, I did discover that the page counts do not instantly update. The forum updates them every so many hours in order to save resources. The pages and posts are there, it just takes a little while for the pagination to catch up, especially in a busy thread. We could bump it up but it would slow down the forum as a task to update pages would constantly be running.
