1972 Mustang Coupe
This is our restoration project. It is a 1972 Hardtop Coupe that came from the factory with a 250 I6 6 cyl engine. The engine was seized so we are in the process of pulling it out and installing a new Ford Racing 306 Crate Engine. Other goodies for the engine include Edelbrock Performer RPM Intake and 600 cfm carb, Hooker Stainless Headers and Pertronix Billet Distributor.

The Ginger colored interior is all original except for a new dash pad. Most of the other work needed is repairing rust damage to the fender aprons, front fenders and roof. Otherwise, she is solid! The cover picture is a rendition that I made of how it will look when finished.

This car was bought by my Dad's parents new in 1972 and driven 30,304 miles. It has been in storage since approximately 1981.

Hopefully I'll be able to update the garage pics with finished pics before next summer!

It's coming along, I want to get the engine and bad aprons out and pressure wash it before the snow starts flying. Then we can work on it all winter in the nice warm garage!

I really like your rendering, Rocket Foot. I'm going to have to do one of those for our project as well. It'll be good to hang on the wall to keep focused on the goal.

I've been working in the hot garage all summer and can't wait for the chilly months of winter here in Florida to really get cranking. Once we drop into the frigid 60s, I'll be able to work for hours and hours.

I hear that...hot weather make auto mechanics a real chore! I'm much more of a cool weather fan myself!
