trans engagement FMX
#1
Can a slightly over filled trans cause a delay engagement concern?
No foaming and clean red color. Recepts found in glovebox show trans OH about 2K ago but seven years pasted

I'll bet it engages fine after it gets good and hot ?
The rubber seals inside are probably hard as a rock.

I had one where if the dipstick did NOT read overfull, I experienced engagement problems. I'm not sure if the fill tube got switched or the dipstick as I had swapped transmissions, but that was what I ended up with. I was certain I used the same parts though!

what Don said,..

there are 4 seals on the main shaft,.. input or output, can remember exactly which one,.. those are the culprit.. probably hard when they are cold, but once they warm up ,they get soft again and they seal again..

Is it worth adding trans conditioner
