Autolight Battery cover question.
#1
I was thinking of buying the Autolite battery cover that fits Goupe 24 Batterys, but after looking at it, the +POS and -NEG posts markings are on the wrong side of the the modern standard group 24 battery.
has anyone used these covers before? will it fit even though the markings are on the wrong side.
here is the link to the batt cover I was looking at

Yes, if you really want the Autolite name/look you can get a high quality new battery made that looks exactly like the original. The site sponsors sell them.

but its the price $250+ for them, its hard to justify that price, when I can get an Autozone batt (like I have) that has lasted 7 year and only pay $50, and still going strong.

Thats why I was looking at the covers, I know they are other venders that have the other covers with real red covers not painted red ones, but its the issue with the batt Post's.

Our cars call for a group 24F battery. The battery posts are reversed on the 24F as compared to the group 24.

so the 24F the Batt posts are closest to the Radiator vs. closer to the Fender.
that would explane why the post markings are backwords.
