I think this car is already going for too much money. $8100 is pushing it to me. The wheels don't match. Interior stuff missing. They painted the entire engine blue, even the carburetor. Mach 1 "clones" are common so I'm not concerned with that.

That engine is a 460 right? It doesn't look like a Cleveland to me.

Car would be a good project for like $3-4 grand to me.

Mismatched wheels - that just looks stupid
Nice job on the 72 fender extensions

Yup..missing shock tower brace's too...Good interior they say?...Well maybe if you like your interior too look like a badly fur covered speaker box..But hey..Im not judging.Just saying not my cup of teaWink

I see alot of car dealers miss advertizing our years of cars...With all sorts of wild claims...I know they love to make a deal..But damn..I would be afraid to sell a car with such claims and have a pissed off customer come back after me or worse...lol.. Still not as bad as the royal shelby cobra thou hehe

i noticed lately there has been an uptick of price for 71-73 cars, i don't know why considering the economy is bad and nobody has spare cash anymore.

there are many incorrect and missing pieces that will easily cost you 1000$ and 1000$ of dollars before you get to the body work, if you would want to restore it.

thing that interests me is its up to 8100$ and has quite a few different bidders on it.

the engine looks like winsor.

the car also doesn't have a heater core. all the heater controls have been gutted from the dash as well.

it started life as a H code and a sport roof not a mach 1.

so basically its a drag strip car.

I couple of years ago i almost bought a 71 in similar running shape for 500$ as a parts car to cut up.

i think we could all pick about 1000 wrong things in each photo. i just hope the person that owns it in 1 1/2 days knows what they are getting into.

for 3 years there was a local body shop that was trying to sell a 71 sportroof, in silver with a standard interior and 3 speed 302, heater car that was just painted and had body work. The gaps and paint was nice, nothing special about the car, they wanted 15K it never sold and the body shop went out of business.

there has also been a VERY rough red mach 1 going around new york for the last 5 years and it keeps getting resold over and over again. i've seen it over and over at different garages and each time it has a different owner. it is very rusted out, soft front frame rails, it is a Q code with the original block and trans and rear end. but it basically needs a new shell last time it sold for 3500$ i have not seen it in about 2 or 3 years now, rumor it may have gone to Europe. i would barely have called it a parts car. i recognized it over and over by the paint and damage to the passenger side door and rocker
