There are also dual 3.5” “pile driver” speakers that fit in the dash with no modifications. I use them with my RetroSound USA radio. The sound is better than stock with some stereo separation as the sound bounces off the windshield. I believe NPD has them.

The only part not in the kit is the rubber grommet that feeds the hose thru the bottom of the hood. Be sure to save this and re use it.

I have a "H" code 351C in my 71 Mach1. There is a lifter tick with the cylinder #1 valves. I replaced the 2 lifters but the tick is still there. My thinking is to remove the 2 lifters one at a time and then prime the engine with a drill and distributor drive to flush out the oil passages. My...

I also left the turn signal incadescent bulbs in the dash cluster when I updated to dash LEDs. Was this necessary?

I couldn’t agree more. My 71 Mach1 is truly a Virtual Time Machine. Working on it and cruising reminds me of simpler times when gas was $.29 a gallon and social media did not yet exist. Jimmy Buffett coined the phrase “mental floss” which seems fitting.

I believe the clips for the interior door pulls ( 1 per side) are different.

Perhaps e-mailing an update of their qualification criteria for their vendors to all customers might have a positive effect. Usually the publishing of proactive product/service improvement bulletins is well received by the public.
