    Frostburg MD

Welcome from So Cal. On the vacuum issue, you’ve got to start at the vacuum source and using a vacuum pump (tester), check to see if the hose to the vacuum reserve and the reserve itself hold vacuum. Once you’ve done that, you can test the next leg, the hose from the reserve to the HVAC...

    What is this plug

Look at this diagram created by @71fast, I’m not sure it will fully answer your question, but might help: Can you post a pic of the “speaker wires” going to the engine compartment? That might help identifying them.

Any idea what these nuts might be for?

I pulled my carpet and found rust; not as exciting as a brake pedal pad. 😁

Any idea what these nuts might be for?

Weird, all of my fasteners are intact holding up the panel. I wonder if some assembly line guy had a handful of them and set them down and then someone put the package tray over it. It looks like the tray had never come out before, but I can’t be certain.

Any idea what these nuts might be for?

I pulled my package tray off in order to use it as a template for creating a new one to hold my new speakers and as I was removing it, the middle section between the two speaker openings had this pile of nuts laying under it. Any idea what therefore? I don’t think therefore 73 Mustang. Here’s a...

    Ignition Issues

I know you’re getting lots of advice and it can be depressing when you think you’re got it close and get no love back from tje motor. So, more advice if you may. Pull all of the plugs. Put a charger on the battery. Attach number one plug to its lead. Connect the t8ming light to number one...

    Dash lights. Led ?

Look at this diagram, it shows + light voltage verses - ground for each bulb. Don’t forget, don’t replace the Alt. Bulb with an LED light, the system uses the incandescent bulb in that circuit as its indicator and the LED defeats the purposes of the warning function.

Any Ideas what this electrical item is & might be for?

You can always count on @71fast electrical diagrams. I wouldn’t be driving my 73 coupe with 87 EFI drivetrain is he hadn’t help me. Just saying.

    Ignition Issues

Ok, I think you need to start over, at square one. If you’re really interested in doing it by the book, you need to pull the passenger valve cover so you can verify the #1 cylinder is on the comptpression stroke and at TDC so you can also verify the timing marks. Once you’ve done that, you can...

    Can you identify this plug?

BTW, if you look in the passenger door pillar, you should see a stainless round sensor. If it’s not there, there is either a hole or a plug in the hole.

    Can you identify this plug?

It depends on whether you’re trying to restore your car back to the original condition it was in when it was new. That device, along with that red box you see in your glove box, is part of an emission control system on your car. Based on that, you should have your answer.
