Lol! You had us there with the GB pics! It really looks outstanding. Don't forget to paint the black on the inside the hood near the wipers when you get around to the black. Many restored Mach 1's miss this detail.
EDIT: here's a discussion with pictures...
Personally not a fan of parts that are just dress up, but I wouldn't knock you adding them if that's what you like.
Still interested in how the brakes work out.
It can be done but requires some patience to get it done right. There is a step-by-step procedure in the factory service manual. This procedure is different between the 71 and 72 manuals so if you don't already have a set, get a set for your model year.
If your old radiator's tanks are still good, take it to a radiator repair and get a new core installed. I'm still running the original radiator in mine with no overheating issues.
Be sure to disconnect your battery before you begin. Be careful not to lose the spacer on the top bolt. You should be able to pull it tight enough with your one hand. You don't want to over tighten it and put too much load on the bearings.
Howdy, @fordnutjm , and welcome from Texas! Very nice convertible, and cool old school wheels! Are they Keystones?
