    Yella Terra rocker arm failure

I am really curious what they stay about the lack of staking of the material around the cup.

    Arrgghh. Power steering.

    You have negative caster?

    Arrgghh. Power steering.

I have some spares for fixed and variable ratio boxes. If there is a Pick-N-Pull wrecking yard near you it may be your best bet for a new (used) sector shaft. If you read my other thread you can see what boxes interchange parts with. Find a Jeep or Camaro box and make yours quick ratio (read...

Cross threaded fuel pump bolt, now what?!

I’d do a thread insert or helicoil. DO NOT have the first time you install one be on your own engine. Practice on some scrap steel first if you are dead set on doing it yourself. Preferably find a machinist or mechanic familiar with them. Lots of ways to screw them up, but done right they...

What did you do today instead of working on your Mustang?

The thing with pools/spas is just because the water looks good does not mean it is. When I was in the business we made a lot of repair calls to people who tuned their pool water “by eye”. If you get the PH and total alkalinity way off the pool can look clear but be eating your heater heat...

What did you do today instead of working on your Mustang?

Honestly I don’t know, been a while since I machined any and I wanted to brush up on it. Took about 5x longer than if I would have used aluminum and twice as long as stainless. In the end the 12” shifter weighed less than the 7.5” steel one out of a Celica. Got it up high enough to feel right...

What do the chamber side of the heads look like / spark plugs?

What did you do today instead of working on your Mustang?

Been tinkering with the 1967 Toyota pickup with the 18RG / W50 swap. Machined a shifter out of titanium

    Drill press run out

Making jets? Drill one and check it. I don’t think you will be oversize. Might be fussing over nothing and the set screw costs less than a dollar. You might be surprised what a quality chuck will do for reducing runout. Figure out what taper your spindle is and get a ball bearing Jacob’s...

In Park, when pressing the brake pedal the idle goes up...

Wild- that is about twice what I paid a few years ago. It’s too bad David isn’t active on the board anymore. I think he bought all the stuff to crimp and rebuild bendix boosters. I know that Booster Dewey isn’t actually Booster Dewey anymore, he sold the shop.

Sounds like a bad brake booster diaphragm. Booster Dewey could fix it for you

    Good welding helmet

Could be worth a trip to the eye doctor. They might be able to help you out.

    Good welding helmet

I can’t comment on your setup. Hard to go wrong with a speedglas brand. I have had one for years and have found it to be robust, and the consumables are reasonable. I have a fresh stash of outer lenses in the toolbox.

    71 is back from paint.

Couple more pics of it from late last year. It has been sitting this winter, good news is I finally sent off the vinyl top trim to have it redone.
