Does anyone know how to get the horn button off of an old Grant GT Wheel? I'm gonna see if i can get the horn to work but I need to get in there first!

i had one, it should just pop out from the center if you pry it up lightly.

for horn problems check the horns themselves first in the engine bay, make sure they work you can pop off the little blue wire connector to each horn and hotwire them from the battery, if they don't sound, pop off the bolt and clean the mount that is the ground. if they still don't work, next check under the dash in the fuse box, the horn is on the same circuit as the cigar lighter, if your cigar lighter isn't working then you know it might be the fuse, but be careful the cigar lighter gets very deteriorated and can short itself out, pull out the cig lighter if the fuse keeps blowing. if the horn still won't work then you can pull the horn cover on the grant and then try a wire with alligator clips just touch the 2 electrical tabs, if the horns still won't work you may have a broken or spliced wire in the harness.

The horns work, but the previous owner has wired a button switch to the side of the steering column. Needless to say, that has to go! So I need to get the horn button off and see what's going on inside the column. Hopefully it just needs the existing wires hooked up and all will be good.
