Color : Dark green to be shocking Lime
Engine : 351C built to 409 Stroker
Transmission : FMX changed to C6
1972 Mach 1
The existing drivetrain is being pulled and kept as is since this is/was a numbers matching survivor. I have another 351C being built into a 408 stroker by Taylor Engineering, trans is being beefed up and rear end converted to Detroit Locker. All of the rest of the work is being done by myself. Right now the interior is gutted and I'll update photos shortly to show progression.
All Drivetrain and 80% of restoration is now complete. I'm trying to figure out how to add pictures to my garage. I do have to cut a hole in the hood to fit the new 850 Holly Ultra XP and Hilborn style scoop. I also need to get the front bumper restored and then final body work and paint. I'm using the 1970 Charger Sublime (FJ5) color and really getting excited about it now.

Yeah I did the same thing. Did not want to mess up the original drivetrain. Looks like you have a good starting point to build what you want.

I've been working on the car and thank god I'm better at that than I am with a computer. I finally figured out how to use Tiny Pics and I have a bunch of progress pictures to add to my garage but can't figure out how to do it.

I'm still in the strip down process, just pulled the engine, tranny and rear end out a couple of days ago. I'm a few months away from completion. My engine builder is looking for 450 HP or so and High Torque. We'll see when we get her finished and on the dyno.

I don't know if this will be my last project or not. I've done a Corvette, a Ranchero and now the Mustang. Perhaps next I'll work on a rocket ship. Oh, wait, that's what I'm working on now..... She will be fun to drive for sure.
