Free KYB Excel shocks, OEM front sway bar, OEM front springs - Free

I have these items they came out of my 73 vert. Shocks seem to be in good condition, I replaced them for gas. I cannot ship so must be able to pick up in downtown San Diego. Moving soon, need them gone, free to a good home. Available starting Tuesday 10/26.

    My HVAC restoration thread.

My 3 months-ago acquired 73 convertible comes with factory air but it is currently not sparking correctly. I will document my journey as I tackle parts of this hoping it can help others in the future. I think the compressor is out because it makes horrible noises. That does not worry me much...

Rear axle shift forward on right side.

As the title states, I noticed that the right wheel was closer to the fender wheel opening on the right (passenger) side than on the left (driver). I measured and there is a ~3/4" difference. Looks like the axle is shifted forward on the passenger side somehow, because the left side looks...

    Wing Pedestals base curved?

As the title states, my wing pedestal bases are curved. Before I buy new ones, is there a trick I don’t know to get them straight? Are they from a different car? Not sure as previous owner installed it. Thanks.

Time for suspension and steering maintenance.

I have been making progress on bringing the newly acquired 73 Vert up to snuff. The electrical details have been addressed and next is suspension and steering. After that, the plan of attack is replace valve covers gaskets to address oil leaks Connect and inspect heater box and HVAC, most...

Tach and gauges install and wiring done.

Bought my 73 Vert last month. The gauges were there but not connected. And had the idiot lights on the left dash gauge. I sent the idiot lights and ammeter to RCCI for modification (shoutout to @TheRktmn for the quick service and impecable work!). I also connected the gauges and tach using an...

    Center console shifter section restoration

I have searched but unable to find what the material is that covers the shifter/clock console, I want to remove it to paint it black but it seems that it is attached to the chrome trim that goes around it. To me it looks like the whole thing was trimmed in chrome “foil” and then the inside...

WTB-under-dash harness side of gauges connector

Wanted: under-dash side of gauges harness connector. I have the harness with plug that connects to the gauges but need the opposite side connector (that comes with the under dash harness) pigtail to make the connections and have a cleaner look than tapping directly to the wires. Thanks.

Oil switch vs Sending Unit thread size

I am in the process of replacing the idiot light with the oil pressure gauge. I ordered the correct sending unit and removed the switch from the back of the engine. When I tried to install the new sending unit it does not fit. The thread size is different on the new unit about 2.3 mm larger...

New boot way tight, does this look right?

I just got a boot for my recently acquired 73 vert. It seems way too tight but I don’t know if they stretch with time or is my roof not going low enough and needs adjustment. It won’t go any lower with the switch and seems to be operating perfectly. Thanks for any help.

Got my 73 last week. Seems to be in pretty good condition. Been working on some little details, lighting, radio etc. Great site for information and looking forward to learning more. I have not found much information on color combinations and not sure white was even available on the conv (car...
