Did all 1972 Machs come with competition suspension?

I have read that all 1972 Mach 1's came with competition suspension. I thought it was an option? Thanks

Any good 71-2-3 Mustang books ever published

I came upon a web sight looking for Milano pictures from the Auto Show. They only had a couple anybody have some they would like to share? almost no pictures of the inside or under the hood. Matching luggage... I want the tail lights, green during acceleration, yellow during coasting...

    High Idle Speed

I would take it out and drive it long enough to get to full temperature, then see how it runs. Many times, weird stuff happens after sitting. A good heat cycle will cure lots of ailments.

Any good 71-2-3 Mustang books ever published

I was always curious about the actual design of the 1971 Mustang, so much crap out there. Some people think a Google search is research. Are there any good books? This car is the 1970 Mustang Milano show car, always loved it, Shelby front, Pantera back end. I thought the 1971 Mustang was from...

    Boss gas cap

Thought the Boss was a 1971 car, so it should have the aircraft style cap? But most have the 1972 Mach style... what is correct? or both?

    Boss color codes

You are correct on the "Medium Lime Metallic" always thought it looked different, just thought it was the light not the actual "same name" different mix code. Back to my original question. I have seen 4F as early as 8-71 build date (72 model car VIN over 1000). I have even seen 4F on cars with...

    Boss color codes

So, if only 670 out of 1806 are accounted for... you are saying there is a chance... well plus a possible 336 1972 R codes. I will keep looking. If anybody is sitting on a 4F car they want to part with please let me know.

Rare 1972 remote electric trunk latch? or home made? no pictures of a switch.

I would think the 1969 kit would be identical? I am going with homemade, looks like the same solenoid that people used for shaved door handles.

Rare 1972 remote electric trunk latch? or home made? no pictures of a switch.

Saw this picture of a electric trunk latch on a 72, is it home made or factory? No idea have never seen one.

1971 4 speed top loader Reverse Lock Out

I slightly modified my 3-speed rod, works really well, put a 4 speed in last year. If I remember correctly had to add about 3/4 inch to the rod.

    Boss color codes

I have seen the normal list of 1971 Boss color codes anyone really know what was avalable? Here is where I am at, looking for a 1972 Mach with color code 4F Medium Lime Metalic, somewhat easy job, they made 1800ish. Since it is a 1972 only color I normally look for 1972 in the listing... the...

    '71 Mach 1: A Father-Daughter Restoration

First thing I would do is pull the plugs and squirt some Mystery oil in the cylinders. How is the carburetor, (they have new repop 2100 carbs on fleebay for under $100) hopefully clean no mouse nests. Next put a wrench on the crank and see if it will roll over, you want to go 360 degrees. Get it...

Parts For Sale WTB Autolite 4300 D carburetor

Had a 4300 on my 1972 Cobra Jet, rebuilt it so many times, I would joke, I could do it in the dark. Finally put a fuel pressure regulator on it and it ran beautiful after that. You will love the gel filled high idle pull off, I was buying parts from Ford back then. Only ever got 6 mpg, but it...
