    73 Motor Mounts

Thanks. I picked up some 71/72 pads I’ll fiddle around to see what works best. Weren’t the 73 verts raised up to eliminate vibration?

    73 Motor Mounts

Hey killer did you check out QSVT1's post about how to make a new '73 mount? I wonder if anyone that has done this has tried to use a mounting pad from another year to raise up the engine a bit so that headers will fit around the steering box? I might try it out when my new motor mount tops get...

    73 Motor mounts

Buy 2 right hand mounts and follow Q1SVT's post above. He says take them apart (drill the rivets) and use the Top part from the new mount and the bottom part from your old mount and bolt them together, wallah... new motor mount rubber in your '73.

Does your key switch spring back when you let it go or is it sticky? You may need to clean your key switch too. You will see a small...

Hi 7173 Community New Aussie Member

WOW! Nice work. Love seeing the fresh metal going into the floor. Mine was just good enough to keep and work on. It pains me to look at the cost of shipping lately. I imagine you would just order the new cowl if it didn't cost as much to ship as buy new. I live in Canada and pretty much...

    73 Motor mounts

This is an old thread but I just want to clarify what you were doing. I have a 73 Convertible that I can't find motor mounts for. Are you telling me I can fab one up for my car from 2 other mounts? I have my original motor mounts, do you know which mount I will need to pair with the bottoms of...

AUSTIN VERT TALKS ABOUT 1973 MUSTANG ENGINE MOUNTINGS.

I am going to try the 2286's with the pads from a 71/2 and see if that works. I'll let you know if they fit.

AUSTIN VERT TALKS ABOUT 1973 MUSTANG ENGINE MOUNTINGS.

Sorry, it was 2286 that I bought. I was half asleep when I sent that message. They are not a good fit. I bought a set of 71/2 mounting pads and I am about to install those. If they dont fit I will just put my originals back in and buy a set of 71/2 mounts to go with those pads. My only concern...
