They may have used a few original body skins, maybe, tail lights maybe, but seriously doubtfull. I don't know what the rules say they have to use to be legal.

Why our cars get bad fuel milage

If you compare the postings to one another, it suggests the induction has a bit more to do with mileage, rather than assuming because you have a Cleveland, mileage will always be low. Dyno tests have shown that the Cleveland will take more carburetion happily, over say, a 350 chevy. We've all...

Where the hell I have been and why your order isn't done yet.

Oh my God, I am so sorry for the horrendous turn of events. I have no orders with you, but hope you and the Wife the best. We surely understand.

    What is this thing?

Water can seep around the rear window seal, and the trunk seal, depending on the car, possibly a poorly "seam-sealed' portion of the rear wheelhouses. For whatever reason, the water does find a way in there. A problem area when doing bodywork can often be around the tail-light area, which can...

Where does this bracket go.... exactly...?

I believe that goes in your glove box opening, above. Ther are a couple of circuit breakers mounted to it, hidden on the topside.

    New 72 owner

Nice car!..... Get used to hearing that phrase from everyone. You know, I did a frame-off restoration on a 1970 Olds 4-4-2 w-30, and same to a GTO Judge, but as bitchin' as those cars were, not everyone could relate to them. But, drive a nice vintage Mustang, people all know one when they see...

What are my options Beyond Subframe Connectors?

One of the reasons that not as much is made for the '71-'73, as far as front end stiffening is concerned, is that the '71-'73 platform is substantially stiffened from the factory, if you check out how the '69-'70 Boss 302 front end used an additional lower a-frame connector piece going under the...

Don't you love the "I'm gonna fix'er up one of these day, guys!"

I was looking at this photo, and have concluded that it is staged. The car was placed and mocked up around that tree. Boiling pots for headlights. Hood cut out especially for the tree, no lug nuts, non-collapsed tires, wooden structure in front. Whimsical, fun, but staged.

    ’71 Mach 1 Resto Project

I sure do like both the Grabber Blue, and the Wimbledon White. It's very cool to see people's project cars get to the painting stage of reconstruction. It's such a big step, when it's your car. Love all the photos.

    Valves for CC stock Cleveland

There's also S.I. Valves. They stock all makes, from standard replacements, to many upgrade levels, to full out racing valves, and their prices are right. For many years, when I built engines at Valley Head Service, the head of the cylinder heads department would often order from S.I. Valves...

Don't you love the "I'm gonna fix'er up one of these day, guys!"

HE'S going to fix 'er up someday??????? Oh, so he's a master bodyman, he's a master engine man, he knows every inch of that car and what is right and wrong, He's done all of that work before, many, many, many times, so much so that his proficiency is "off the charts"????????? My sarcastic...

    Engine ran without coolant

Well, as you guys know, I own dragboats. the engine (s) are often run on the trailer sans water when making checks and adjustments. The engine will also be warmed up on the trailer before putting it in the water, and purposely leaned out at the holding rope to build heat, prior to making an...

    Austrailian heads project

The current engine is stock, and as such, has the stock 5/16" bolted down, fixed position, "sled type" pivoted rockers, and stock pushrods. Nothing wrong with that, they've taken me thousands of miles with no issues. However, since I've got access to machine shop work, it was a no brainer to go...

I got it from Eastwood, but I think you can Google them and buy direct, or from many other sources.

    Austrailian heads project

Thanks Chuck and Tony. My intent is not really for big power ,....though power is always nice. Mostly I wanted to improve on the oiling a bit, have more efficient chambers, and improve longitivity. The way I drive, like an old Grandmother, it should be my last build, as the engine that's in it...

    Austrailian heads project

I'm planning on having the trans gone through, after transplanting the engine. I'll have the trans shop R&R the trans , that way I can concentrate on the engine and compartment, then drive to the shop, and let them drop it from below. When I was 20 years old I thought nothing of lying on my back...

    My moldy old girl

Interesting, in that it appears the "hockey stick" body stripes, and trunk stripe was painted on, and now wearing away.
