I'd find a local shop that works on classics of any kind over going to a Ford dealer. There isn't a person in that Ford dealership that's familiar with these old cars.

Why not just take the heavy 73 urathane bumper off, take a lighter standard 73 chrome bumper and strip it and paint it body color? I assume that would bolt right up and work with the 73 fenders, would it not?
I need to replace the rear axle bearings on my 9" and I see that there are a couple of sizes/styles of bearings and seals out there. What am I looking for on my 73 so I can make sure I've got the right parts ordered ahead of time? Thanks!!
I just had to come back and say that as silly as this sounds, putting the Vibra Tite vc-3 on the idle screw is one of the best things I've done to that carb. After quite a bit of driving, my idle stays right were it needs to be, and the throttle response is always exactly where I expect it to be...
